Does Lipton green tea is helpful in reducing body weight?

I want to know wheather Lipton green tea is helpful in reducing body weight. As I heard green tea helps in loosing weight???
If not then which one is good for reducing weight and where I can find it out in Gurgaon.???

I take it this is actual tea and not one of those ice tea drinks with lots of sugar in them?

The answer is really ‘no’. But it is good to drink Herbal Teas, water, etc to kep up your hydration and sit in your stomach before eating. Makes you less likely to over-eat. Also sometimes you think you are hungry but is really only thirst.

There is no magic way / special food to lose weight. If there was then you would have heard of it & not have to ask. Everyone would use it and no obesity epidemic like we see today. It is simply calories in vs calories out (used). If you eat more than you need then you will put on weight. It is really that ‘easy.’

But it isn’t easy, as you know. Problem is you body has all these things designed to keep you alive and not starve but when you don’t need to go hunting food and it is plentiful…there are only weak mechanisms in place to stop you from eating. Really easy to eat right past those. Takes awhile for the signal that you are ‘full’ to register in the brain, for example.

Some advice: try and eat foods that make you full and really watch portion size. Reduce intake gradually. You have more chance of keeping it off in the longterm if you lose weight slowly. The body notices weightloss of 5kg and starts actively working against you and tries to get you eating more…making it even harder to lose weight.

Good luck. I am slim but come from a large family (bad genes!). I work incredibly hard on staying healthy. I am not one of those nutritionist who find it easy and don’t get how hard it really is (like my old university lecturer…he just thought people were lazy! Not true! It was just easy for him / good genes)
