How to make the perfect cup of tea is often the cause of great debate. The secret to a great cup of tea is ensuring that you have the following 3 things correct.

 The freshness of the tea

 The temperature of the water and

 The brewing time

It seems reasonably easy when someone explains the actions required to pour that perfect cup of tea, however, people are just too busy these days to ensure that the brewing time is correct and the water temperature is exact.

These days we turn the coffee machine on in the morning as we head off to the bathroom to finish getting ready or we switch on the kettle to boil as we jump into the shower or chase up the kids to get ready for school.

Tea lovers get ready cause now we can make a great cup of tea with the ease of pressing a few buttons. Now it is easy to get the cup of tea you desire with the correct water temperature and steeping time required.

The Electric Tea Kettles are here and they are making great cups of tea using any type of tea you like.

After some intense research and many cups of tea, I’ve found what I believe to be the 3 best electric tea kettles on the market.

Firstly, the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker. This kettle was the winner in my book. Breville Tea Kettle has a fully automated Tea Basket, that agitates the leaves by moving up and down in the water.

The Breville Tea Brewer can be set to brew at a programmed time and has a 60 minute keep warm feature. While tea is steeping the water temperature is held. Five degree increments allow the water temperature to be fully adjustable.

The Breville Tea Kettle’s price is a bit of a sting. While this particular kettle is not the cheapest of Electric Tea Kettles, the performance makes it a worthwhile purchase.

My second choice was actually the cheapest of the three kettles. The Adagio Teas TriniTea Electric 32 ounce tea maker.

With a variable steeping time of 2-7 minutes and two temperature settings this machine is very easy to use. The chamber at the top is where the water is heated. Once ready, the water drops into the second chamber where the tea steeps for the pre-set time. Lastly the tea drops into the carafe at the base. The best feature of this kettle is that it will keep your tea warm for hours.

Its downfall is that it is not very fast. It can take up to 20 minutes for your tea to be ready so if you are constantly in a hurry this may not be the kettle for you.

Although it claims to make 4 cups of tea, I couldn’t manage to get 4 cups from it. 3 cups has pretty much been the most I’ve been able to produce.

Overall, the Adagio Teas TriniTea Maker does have a few flaws but for the price I’m not complaining.

Number 3 is the IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine.

This nifty 4 cup tea machine includes some great features such as a 24 hour programmable timer. Now you can wake up to freshly brewed hot tea! The hot plate will keep your tea warm for 30 minutes before automatically shutting off. The filter and infusion basket swing out for easy cleaning.

One of the major issues with this machine is that the 7 program settings can not be edited, therefore you can not change any settings for timing or temperature. The programs only offer temperatures of 160 degrees or 205 degrees with no varying between.

The settings definitely take some getting use to and are not really user friendly.

The IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine is fairly costly. The programmable timer allowing you to wake up to a freshly brewed, hot cup of tea is a great feature however the let down for me is not being able to change the water temperature. However if you are not too picky about the water temperature settings, then I would recommend checking this machine out.
